APN Instructions

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS to get your Mobile DATA Working (iPhones)

First, be sure to ACTIVATE your SIM Card by one of the following methods:

Now that you have successfully activated your SIM, your calling and texting should be working.  To get your cellular data working, please do the following:

  1. Go to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Profile" and click on your "Cellular Data Profile," and select the option to DELETE it.  If you version of iPhone won't let you delete the profile, please SKIP THIS STEP
  2. Next, ON YOUR PHONE, connect to your WiFi Network and pull up a browser (Safari, Chrome, etc) and go to the following webpage:  http://ivzwentp.tracfone.com - Some people have had trouble typing this address in Safari (Safari wants to show search results rather than the actual page) - to avoid this, go directly to our page in Safari ON YOUR PHONE (our APN Settings Page) and THEN click the link http://ivzwentp.tracfone.com
  3. You may have to enter in your iPhone passowrd - then, you should see an "Install" popup - click "Install" to download this update (the APN is "unsigned" but please continue the download process).  If you clicked the link from this website, you will see an option to to download it at the very bottom of your phone (it may disappear quickly, so if you missed it, you can download it again)
  4. When the download is complete, and the update has been successfully installed, you can turn OFF Wifi and TURN ON your Cellular Data and see if your data is working.  It should be working, but if not, you will need to reset your phone by going to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Reset" and then click "Reset All Settings."  /li>

If the above does not work, please try the following alternate method:

  1. Go to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Profile" and click on your "Cellular Data Profile," and select the option to DELETE it.  If you version of iPhone won't let you delete the profile, please SKIP THIS STEP
  2. Next, ON YOUR PHONE, connect to your WiFi Network and pull up a browser (Safari, Chrome, etc) and go to the following webpage:  http://iapnupdatevzw.straighttalk.com - Some people have had trouble typing this address in Safari (Safari wants to show search results rather than the actual page) - to avoid this, go directly to our page in Safari ON YOUR PHONE (our APN Settings Page) and THEN click the link http://iapnupdatevzw.straighttalk.com
  3. When this page comes up, click to download this mobileconfig file.  If you clicked the link from this website, you will see an option to to download it at the very bottom of your phone (it may disappear quickly, so if you missed it, you can download it again)
  4. When the download is complete, and the update has been successfully installed, you can turn OFF Wifi and TURN ON your Cellular Data and see if your data is working.  It should be working, but if not, you will need to reset your phone by going to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Reset" and then click "Reset All Settings."

If the above does not work, please try the following alternate method:

  1. Go to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Profile" and click on your "Cellular Data Profile," and select the option to DELETE it.  If you version of iPhone won't let you delete the profile, please SKIP THIS STEP
  2. Next, ON YOUR PHONE, connect to your WiFi Network and pull up a browser (Safari, Chrome, etc) and go to the following webpage:  https://www.unlockit.co.nz
  3. When this page comes up, click on "Create APN" at the bottom. Select the following 2 options:
    • Country:  United States
    • Carrier:  only LTE (or if that doesn't work, try the only option)
  4. Then, click the "Create APN" button at the bottom of the page.  Another page may come up - press "Install or Download."  You may get a pop-up message from the app developer stating that loading the profile over an existing profile may not work, but go ahead and do it anyway.  When the download is complete, you can turn OFF Wifi and TURN ON your Cellular Data and see if your data is working.  If it is still NOT working yet, you will need to reset your phone by going to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Reset" and then click "Reset All Settings."
  5. After this reset, try your 4G data once again - your data will hopefully be working, but if not, try reloading the APN again (by going to the https://www.unlockit.co.nz website). Or, you can try the other "carrier option" (just plain only instead of only LTE), but only LTE seems to work for most people.

If the above three methods do not work, please try the following 4th alternate method:

  1. Go to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Profile" and click on your "Cellular Data Profile," and select the option to DELETE it.  If you version of iPhone won't let you delete the profile, please SKIP THIS STEP
  2. Next, ON YOUR PHONE, connect to your WiFi Network and pull up a browser (Safari, Chrome, etc) and go to the following webpage:  http://ivzwinternet.tracfone.com - Some people have had trouble typing this address in Safari (Safari wants to show search results rather than the actual page) - to avoid this, go directly to our page in Safari ON YOUR PHONE (our APN Settings Page) and THEN click the link http://ivzwinternet.tracfone.com
  3. When this page comes up, click to download this mobileconfig file.  If you clicked the link from this website, you will see an option to to download it at the very bottom of your phone (it may disappear quickly, so if you missed it, you can download it again)
  4. When the download is complete, and the update has been successfully installed, you can turn OFF Wifi and TURN ON your Cellular Data and see if your data is working.  It should be working, but if not, you will need to reset your phone by going to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Reset" and then click "Reset All Settings."  Under your "Cellular Data Profile," ("Settings" and then "General" and then "Profile" and click on your "Cellular Data Profile") it should display "VZWMPN"

If none of the above methods work, you will need to do a factory reset.  Go to "Settings" and then "General" and then "Reset." Then click "Reset all Settings."  For some, this is the only way they can get one of the above methods to work.  This is especially true if you are getting the "No Service" message where the signal bars should be at the top.  This usually occurs when your phone is shipped to you on eBay (it most likely came from a different part of the country).  The iPhone can be very fickle in this respect.  But you need to have signal bars to activate the phone, so getting signal bars is your first priority.
